Privacy & Trust

Linksman, operated by MAL Brands, LLC, is a tee-time search tool for public golf courses in the Denver metro. There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, and nothing to log in to — so we collect very little, and this page can be short and plain. Use of the site is also governed by our Terms of Use.

What we collect

• Your search inputs (address or ZIP, date, time, party size, filters) are used to run your search and appear in the page URL so you can share or bookmark results. To turn your starting point into accurate driving times, the address you search is sent to Mapbox, our mapping provider, to be converted to map coordinates and to compute travel times to nearby courses. We send only the location text itself — no name, identifier, or account information goes with it (subject to Mapbox's privacy policy). We don't store your searched locations on our servers. For convenience, your browser keeps your most recent search settings and starting points in its own local storage so we can pre-fill them and offer them as quick picks next time — that data stays on your device, is never sent to us, and clearing your browser data for this site removes it.
• Your device location — only if you ask. The optional "Use my location" button asks your browser for your current position (your browser will prompt you for permission). If you allow it, the coordinates are converted to a nearby street or area name via Mapbox and used as your starting point; the coordinates themselves are used transiently and are not stored. Declining the prompt changes nothing — you can always type an address instead.
• Anonymous usage analytics. Our hosting platform (Lovable) collects basic usage statistics — pages viewed, referring site, browser type, and approximate region. To count visits it stores a short-lived session identifier (in a cookie or browser storage) and an anonymous random identifier in your browser's local storage. These identifiers are not tied to your name, email, or any account (we have none), and we see this data only in aggregate.
• Security cookie. Cloudflare, which serves the site, sets a short-lived cookie (__cf_bm) used solely to tell humans from bots. It expires within about 30 minutes.
• Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting infrastructure keeps routine request logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for reliability and abuse prevention.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, we do not track you across other websites, we do not build profiles tied to your identity, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We never ask for your name, payment details, or booking-site credentials.

Do Not Track and opt-out signals

Linksman does not respond to "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control browser signals — there is no cross-site tracking to turn off, and because we don't sell or share personal information, there is no sale for such signals to opt out of.

Children's privacy

Linksman is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where tee-time data comes from

Tee times, prices, and availability are gathered from the public, no-login booking pages and public booking APIs of each course's own reservation system — the same information any visitor sees when browsing those sites. We refresh this data periodically, so availability and pricing can change between our last check and the moment you book. Always confirm the details on the course's booking page; that page is the source of truth.

Booking always happens on the course's official booking site, not on Linksman. We add no surcharges and take no commission, and once you click through to book, that site's own privacy policy and terms apply.

Third-party services

• Hosting & database — the site runs on Cloudflare and Lovable Cloud (Supabase) infrastructure, which process requests as described under server logs and analytics above.
• Geocoding & travel times — searched locations and (with your permission) device coordinates are processed by Mapbox to resolve locations and compute driving times, as described above (subject to Mapbox's privacy policy). Requests go through our server, so your IP address is not exposed to Mapbox by this feature.
• Fonts — pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google's font servers (subject to Google's privacy policy).
• Map tiles — the course map loads its background imagery from CARTO and OpenStreetMap servers, so your browser requests map tiles from them when you open the map view (subject to their policies). No search or location data is included in those requests.
• Course booking sites — links out to each course's reservation system, governed by their own policies.

Security

Because there are no accounts, we hold no passwords and no payment information. The public site is read-only: course and tee-time data is served from our database, and administrative functions are restricted behind separate authentication. All traffic is served over HTTPS.

Linksman is operated by MAL Brands, LLC from Colorado and intended for users in the United States. The site is hosted on servers in the United States.

Changes to this page

If Linksman adds features that change what we collect (for example, saved searches or email alerts), we'll update this page and its effective date before those features launch. Posting the revised page here, with a new effective date, is how we notify you of changes — check back if you want to stay current.
